Custom Energy Studies Presentation by Gerry Nunn January 22, 2009

The BC Chapter of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) will be holding a presentation at the Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver on January 22, 2009.

The presentation, entitled 'Custom Energy Studies, will be given by Gerry Nunn of MCW Custom Energy Solutions and features the following:

• What is an Energy Study? Gas, electricity, water? Investment grade, walk-through audits.
• What are my goals? Reducing operating costs, sustainability, renewing infrastructure, lowering GHG emissions.
• A study outline that meets most criteria. What to ask for as a structure for a study.
• Steps you can take to hasten the process, collection of drawings, utility bills, etc.
• BC Hydro / NRCan requirements for Energy Studies.
• Incentives available - BC Hydro, PS, NRCan, Fortis, Terasen, etc.
• How to issue an effective RFP.
• How to choose your consultant.
• Funding of the recommendations of the study, have I though of how to implement this?
• Methods of implementing the measures, traditional, ESCo delivery model.
